This whimsical illustration is one of a series of four watercolors used by a non-profit organization in support of their fund-raising program for community and spiritual improvement in rural Haiti. In its first year, the campaign raised over $15,000 by selling goats, chickens, pigs and cows to families in Winter Park, FL.using note cards with these illustrations and romance copy. The campaign has repeated several years, with similar success.
In 2001, Sport Fshing magazine created a three-day fishing-oriented event for New Smyrna Beach, FL, Miami, Panama City, FL and Biloxi, MS. The event featured static displays of boats and boating accessories, fishing tackle and equipment, on-site seminars by renown, local captains and guides, and two fishing tournaments - inshore and offshore. It was designed as a multi-year event with the tourist and economic development boards of those cities for the Memorial Day weekend.
Since there was no history of this being done by this national publication, a pre-event sales package was created. It included a series of event renderings which I was commissioned to produce for the collateral marketing material. These two pieces, left, are from that series. The annual event, known as Fishstock, has been a success every year since its creation.
This illustration was used as the cover for a cookbook in a fund-raising campaign for this Winter Park, FL.-based catholic school. Final size: 11” x 15”.
This rendering was a project commissioned by the Orlando-based builder, Jack Jennings and Son, and this framed memento was presented to major donors of this Sanford, FL- based Presbyterian congregation upon the completion of their new sanctuary construction. The final size: 24 x 26, framed.
This series of note cards was created for a boutique in Winter Park.
The black and white illustrations below were produced for business owners or individual home owners to create their own personal note cards.
The notes below were used in fund-raising campaigns.
